Mangaluru, Dec 18: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), holds a felicitation programme to Karnataka Rajyotsava awardee 2024 and a proud alumnus, Kanyan Sadashiva Shetty on December 17 in LCRI hall.
Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto, rector of St Aloysius Institutions, Dr Melwyn D'Cunha, SJ, pro-vice chancellor of the University, Dr Alwyn D’Sa, registrar of the college, Dr Ronald Nazareth, registrar of the University, Dr Ishwar Bhat, director, Xavier Block, Sahana, coordinator, and Shilpa D'Souza, institutional officer were on the dais.
After the felicitation, Kanyana Sadashiva Shetty expressed his gratitude by recalling his student life at Aloysius College. He recalled the contribution of the college and the teachers in achieving great success in his life as an entrepreneur. While explaining his achievements in the field of business, he advised that even if one starts any business, one can achieve success if one gains in-depth knowledge about the subject and works hard. He advised the young science students to turn challenges in life into opportunities and make great contributions to the society.
Dr Melwyn D’Cunha, the pro-vice chancellor of the university, in his felicitation speech said that Sadashiva Shetty is a senior student who has become a role model for the current students through his achievements. He also said that the students should understand his path of achievement carefully and give even more achievements to the society.
Rector, Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto said that Kanyana Sadashiva Shetty has become a proud student of Aloysius Institute by earning a name as an entrepreneur and providing financial assistance to many poor people in the society. He said that his contribution to many other literary activities in the society is also commendable. He also said that such activities of Shetty have given great inspiration to the social programs of St Aloysius College.
Dr Ishwara Bhat, director of Xavier Block welcomed the gathering. Sahana, coordinator of the programme proposed the vote of thanks.
