Bantwal, Dec 19: A mini bus overturned near Farangipete on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway after the driver lost control of the vehicle early Thursday morning.

The accident occurred around 6:30 am as the vehicle, en route to Mangaluru from Bengaluru, jumped over the road divider.

The vehicle carried 10 passengers, all of whom escaped with minor injuries. It belonged to a Bengaluru-based event management company contracted for stage decoration in Mangaluru and was transporting decoration materials. Details about the passengers are yet to be confirmed.

Preliminary reports suggest that the driver may have lost control due to drowsiness, although the exact cause remains unclear.
