Beltangady: 14-year-old dies of electrocution while setting up Christmas lights

Beltangady, Dec 19: In a tragic incident, a 14-year-old boy, Stephen, a 9th-grade student at Beltangady St Theresa School, lost his life due to electrocution while setting up Christmas lights near his home at Peroditthaya Katte in Thenka Karandur village.

The boy, was residing with his grandmother and was decorating his house for the Christmas festival when the accident occurred.

Stephen had lost both his parents two years ago. He had lost them in a gap of two years due to short illness.

Venur station officer Shaila and MESCOM assistant executive engineer Clement Braggs visited the incident site.
