Mangalore: Unity Health Complex Gets International 'Diamond Eye Award'

Mangalore, Dec 23: 'Unity Health Complex has been honoured with 'Diamond Eye Award for Quality Commitment and Excellence and total quality management accreditation for high quality performance and best customer satisfaction", informed Dr C P Habeeb Rahman, chairman, Unity care and Health Service Pvt Ltd at a press meet here on Friday, December 23. 

The was award was handed over to the chairman recently at Geneva in Switzerland by president, Charbel S Tabet of Otherways Management and Consulting.

The selection was done by voting process on Internet and the information collected through media, Chamber of Commerce, embassies of different countries, and online macro polls that decided the final award. More than 65 companies were awarded in over 100 countries and Unity Health Complex was the only Hospital in the award list.

Dr Habeeb Rahman responded to the award by highlighting the role of healthcare services in the society and the emerging role of Indian Health tourism. He said India has the best medical fraternity working in different parts of the world and the emphasis is on quality health services through hospitals in India now. 

Among the many other awards bagged by Unity Health Complex, are President’s Appreciation Award in recognition of 'Service to IMA and to the society' presented in 2001, Lifetime Health Achievement Award-2010 for Outstanding Individual Achievement and Distinguished Services to the Nation at New Delhi, and Indian Leadership Award for Healthcare Excellence Award – 2010 awarded by Indian Economic Development and Research Association in 2010 New Delhi.
