Bengaluru: Alliance University to hold 13th convocation ceremony on Dec 22

Bengaluru, Dec 20: Alliance University, South India's first private university based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, will host its 13th Convocation ceremony for the outgoing batch of 2023--2024. The ceremony will be graced by chief guest: His excellency PS Sreedharan Pillai, governor of Goa, along with distinguished guests of honour: Basavaraj Shivalingappa Horatti, chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council; Priyank Mallikarjun Kharge, minister for rural development & Panchayat Raj, IT & BT, government of Karnataka; and Dr G Satheesh Reddy, scientific adviser to defense minister and chairman of the governing body, aeronautical development agency.

The ceremony will also be attended by special invitees: Padma Bhushan Dr VK Saraswat, member of NITI Aayog and chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University; Padma Shri Anju Bobby George, vice president of the athletics federation of India; PJVKS Prakash Rao, former director of SIPO at ISRO HQ; and Dr Achyuta Samanta, founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Odisha.
