North Carolina, Dec 21: The All America Tulu Association (AATA) is thrilled to announce its first North American convention Siri Parba 2025, to be held on July 4 and 5, 2025, at Raleigh City, North Carolina, United States of America.
The All America Tulu Association (AATA) is a non-profit organization, founded on Bisu Parba, April 14, 2021. The primary mission of AATA is to preserve and promote the Tulu language, literature, and culture. In pursuit of this goal, AATA organizes a variety of cultural and educational activities like Tulu speaking classes, Tulu Lipi (script) classes, Yakshagana classes, Tabla lessons, matrimonial service to name a few. AATA proudly hosts an online Tulu library called Rani Abbakka Genada Chavadi, which houses an extensive collection of Tulu literary works.
As part of the historic Siri Parba 2025 convention, AATA proudly announces the inception of the Sirimudi Awards, dedicated to preserve and promote Tulu culture, language, script and literature. AATA president Shreevalli Rai Martel, convener of Siri Parba 2025 Ranjani Asaigoli and award selection committee head Prashant Kumar Mattu briefed the details in a press release. There are two categories of the awards. AATA Sirimudi Award for Tulu Script (Lipi) and AATA Sirimudi Award for Non-Tulu Script for literary work in Tulu language using Kannada or English scripts. The award is sponsored by AATA founder president Bhaskar Sherigar and each award consists of a cash prize of Rs 75,000, a commemorative plaque and a certificate of recognition. These prestigious awards are given once in every four years and will be announced during Siri Parba Convention starting from the year 2025.
Any form of literary work in Tulu language is eligible for submission, including novels, plays, poetry, essays, speeches, short stories, historical narratives, philosophical writings, and translations. This is a global award, and anyone can participate. Only unpublished works or works published after AATA’s founding date Bisu Parba - April 14, 2021 are eligible. The awards will honor the most outstanding contributions to Tulu literature, based on the quality, talent and hard work.

The last date for submission of the nomination for the award is Bisu Parba – April 15, 2025. AATA has requested all the literary enthusiasts to extend their support by participating in this and help in preserving the Tulu language, literature, lipi and culture.
