Dinesh Gundurao demands action against BJP MLC C T Ravi over offensive remarks made on Hebbalkar

Bantwal, Dec 21: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Dinesh Gundurao has stated that the remarks made by BJP MLC C T Ravi about minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar are unacceptable, and that the BJP should take action against him.

Speaking at a protest organised by the Congress party on B C Road in Bantwal Block and Panemangalore Block on Saturday, December 21, Gundurao emphasised that C T Ravi must apologize for his comments.

He also stated that BJP’s principles, as demonstrated by Amit Shah’s words, reflect the party’s tendency to look down upon women. He added that this incident is a clear example of such behaviour and criticised BJP leaders for supporting such actions, calling it unfortunate.

Former minister B Ramanath Rai also condemned the statements made by Amit Shah and C T Ravi.

The protest was attended by several prominent figures, including Block Congress president Balakrishna Anchan, Chandrashekhar Bhandari, Bantwal Municipal Council president B Vasu Poojari, Buda president Baby Kunder, and party leaders Pius L Rodrigues, Chandraprakash Shetty, Padmashekhar Jain, Abbas Ali Bolanthuru, Jesinta D'Souza, Aida Suresh, Mallika Shetty, Venkappa Poojari, Mohammad Nandavar, Yusuf Karandadi, Padmanabh Rai, Chittaranjan Shetty, among others.
