Moodbidri, Dec 22: Carmel School Moodbidri celebrated National Mathematics Day with enthusiasm and intellectual fervor on December 17. National Mathematics Day is celebrated on December 22 every year to honor the birth anniversary of the mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan and to recognize the importance of mathematics in daily lives.

The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking session by the esteemed Smitha Juliet Miranda, education coordinator at the block education office, Moodbidri. She eloquently shared, "To learn mathematics, we must first be good listeners. Mathematics is all about logic and it forms the foundation for all other subjects." Her words resonated with both students and teachers leaving a lasting impact.

Adding grace to the occasion Sr Preena AC, the vice principal welcomed the chief guest with a symbolic and eco-friendly flower pot. Sr Ranitha AC, the school coordinator, expressed heartfelt appreciation by presenting a thoughtful token of love to the chief guest.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Jane Mascarenhas, who expressed gratitude to all contributors for making the day a grand success.

The celebration not only honored the contributions of mathematicians but also instilled a love for numbers in the hearts of the students truly making it a memorable day.
