Mangaluru, Dec 22: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru celebrated its annual day for the Kindergarten section on December 21 in the school auditorium. The event, themed "The Quest", showcased a vibrant array of performances that celebrated the innocence, talent and exuberance of the youngest members of Mount Carmel family.
The programme commenced with a soulful prayer dance setting a joyful tone for the day's celebrations. The august audience was accorded a heartfelt welcome through a dance by the tiny tots. The principal, Sister Melissa, warmly welcomed the gathering and the esteemed chief guest, Dr Joyline Germine D’sa, associate professor at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management.
The cultural extravaganza kicked off with the youngest stars from the pre-nursery and nursery sections, who delighted the audience with their confidence and enthusiasm, setting the stage for the rest of the performances. A creatively presented video captured the highlights of the nursery and kindergarten activities over the year, serving as the annual report.
In her inspiring address, the chief guest, Dr Joyline Germine D’sa applauded the remarkable talents of the little ones and encouraged the parents to minimise their kids’ exposure to electronic gadgets, but instead to give importance to spend quality time with them, fostering outdoor play and nurturing creativity through story telling.
The performances by LKG and UKG students were a visual treat as they depicted of the theme “The Quest”, through heart-warming dialogues and dances that emphasized the values of friendship, kindness, and care. The pinnacle of the celebration was the festive Christmas play, which brought the spirit of yuletide to life and left the audience spellbound.
The students Rithul, Shivansh and Calida delivered the note of gratitude, while Saloni, Lionel, Inayah, Haniel, Arya, Lihan, Misha, Saharsh, Adhya and Bhavik emceed the event.
