Kundapur, Dec 23: The mortal remains of Jet Ski rider Rohidas alias Ravi (41), who went missing on Saturday evening at Trasi sea beach, were recovered 36 hours later near Hosapete crematorium in the early hours of Monday.
Local fishermen, Shasha Kharvi and Mohan Kharvi, spotted a body floating at around 3 am on Monday as they were heading out for fishing. They immediately informed Nishant Kharvi, a staff member of the Coast Guard Coastal Control Squad. The three then retrieved the mortal remains from the water and informed the police.
Ibrahim Gangolli from Gangolli 24x7 Ambulance, Coast Guard staff member Nishant Kharvi, beach in-charge staff Suresh Koderi, and colleagues of the late Rohidas assisted in moving the mortal remains from the beach to the ambulance.
Gangolli police visited the scene, and the mortal remains have been placed in a freezer unit at Kundapur Government Hospital.
