Mangaluru: St Agnes PU College celebrates Achievers Day ‘La Gloria’ 2024

Mangaluru, Dec 23: St Agnes PU College celebrated its much-awaited Achievers’ Day - ‘La Gloria’ 2024 with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event which recognized the outstanding achievements of students in academics and extra-curricular activities, was held in the college auditorium. The programme was graced by the presence of the esteemed chief guest Shobhana N, Retd HOD, department of English and dean of humanities, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru whose motivational speech left a lasting impression on everyone.

She emphasized that nature has given everyone a dignified and beautiful life. Each one has to use the opportunities and talents bestowed on us by being consistent always. She highlighted the need to work hard with discipline to reach greater heights. She encouraged students to pursue excellence and embrace challenges with determination.

The highlight of the day was the distribution of merit certificates to students who excelled in academics, recognizing their hard work and dedication. Additionally, prizes were distributed to students who showcased exceptional talents in cultural events and other extra-curricular activities. The programme also featured a series of captivating performances by students showcasing their creativity and talent.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Manasi setting the tone for a day of celebration and appreciation. The MC Angelina D’Silva skillfully guided the programme, ensuring a seamless flow of events.

Swasthika rendered the vote of thanks expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed in making ‘La Gloria’ a grand success. It was a true celebration of talent, hard work and excellence leaving everyone inspired and motivated for the future.

The programme was graced by the principal, Sr Norine D’Souza, vice principal, Sr Janet Sequeira, teaching and support staff and students.
