Mangaluru, Dec 23: The alumni of St Aloysius Pre-University College gathered for an extraordinary evening, rekindling bonds and celebrating their shared journey. The vibrant occasion brought together former students from various batches, creating an atmosphere of warmth, joy, and cherished recollections.
The event was a remarkable showcase of creativity and camaraderie. A dance performance by the staff set the celebration off on a cheerful note.
In his address to the gathering, the principal, Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ, extended a hearty welcome to the alumni and encouraged them to keep returning, cherish old relationships and friendships, and actively participate in the college's activities. Urging the former students to live by the ideals of their alma mater, he expressed hope that they would continue to celebrate oneness and care for the less-privileged wherever they are.
Alumni graced the stage with enthralling performances, including captivating dances by Vaishnavi, Dhanashree, Dazzling Stars, Gavin, One Style, and Team Reunited, as well as soulful music and engaging games. These moments not only entertained but also evoked memories of youthful days, rekindling the sense of belonging that defines this institution.
Laughter and sentiment filled the air as attendees reflected on the friendships, lessons, and experiences that had left an indelible mark on their lives. An emotional highlight of the evening was the reunion of teachers and their former students. Alumnus Rupal D’Souza beautifully compered the programme, while Santhosh Veigas from the department of physics, Kiran Shetty, Dean of science, and Tulasi Kumar from the department of physics coordinated the Alumni Meet 2024.
