Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School holds ‘Alumni Meet 2024’

Mangaluru, Dec 23: The alumni meet of Lourdes Central School was held on Saturday, December 21, on the LCS open ground. The atmosphere was filled with sweet memories, nostalgic moments and sentiments as the alumni reunited after 15 to 18 years.

The programme began with a prayer service conducted by Deepa D’Souza and her team of staff members. This was followed by the ice breaking session conducted by Lynette Pereira and Noeleen Pais. Lolita Coelho and Henry Mascarenhas conducted some games that kept the gathering engaged and active.

Vice Principal Belita Mascarenhas helped the former students and staff recall some fond memories and relish them. Dr J B Saldanha, manager delivered the presidential address in which he expressed happiness over the success of our alumni and urged them to spread the light of LCS far and wide through their service to humanity.

Teachers presented a beautiful Baila medley. Student from the second batch, Savaanha Sequeira expressed her thoughts and memories of LCS and recalled how LCS had shaped her grow into what she is today.

Fr Johnson L Sequeira, the principal, appreciated the alumni for reuniting with their alma mater and expressed his desire to have the alumni come back every December to make it a tradition at LCS.

It was a heart-warming moment as Lydia D’Souza, the KG coordinator was being honoured by the alumni and returned the hug each one of them had received on their first day at LCS kindergarten. All eyes were wet with pleasant tears at this moment. Lydia then proposed the vote of thanks and the programme concluded with a fellowship meal. Shanthi Menezes compered the programme and all the staff members were present.
