Mangaluru: St Aloysius BEd college celebrates Christmas

Media Release

Mangaluru, Dec 24: St Aloysius BEd College celebrated the joyous spirit of Christmas together with students, faculty, and staff. The programme first commenced with an outreach programme conducted at Dakshina Kannada District Panchayat Government Higher Primary School, Kadri, where the student-teachers organized fun and games for the children. This fellowship ended by giving gifts to all the children.

This was followed by a programme in the institute. The programme began with a prayer song, invoking blessings of peace and joy for all. The students performed a skit portraying the birth of Jesus Christ, highlighting the theme ‘Light’. It beautifully illustrated how Christ's light brings hope in a world often clouded by darkness and inspires people to embrace love and compassion.

The students rekindled the joy of the season by presenting a series of traditional and modern compositions of carols.

The principal, Dr Farita Viegas, emphasized in her speech the importance of sharing with those who have little and extending care to the rejected and marginalized. She also highlighted that the true essence of Christmas lies not in material gifts, but in acts of kindness, empathy, and making a positive impact on others' lives.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks. This well-organized event reflected the culture of commitment, compassion and creativity of the institute. Sandhya, staff in-charge organised the programme.
