Bengaluru, Dec 25: Kannada actor Shivarajkumar successfully underwent kidney surgery on December 24 at Miami Cancer Hospital, USA.

The surgery, led by Dr. Murugesh, was completed by midnight. Post-surgery, the actor was moved to a special ward for observation. Doctors anticipate that he will regain consciousness on December 25 and begin his medication regimen. He is expected to continue his recovery in the US for a month, with plans to return to India on January 25, 2025.

Before the procedure, Shivarajkumar connected with his loved ones through phone calls and reassured his manager and housekeeper in Bengaluru via a video call, promising a speedy recovery.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his support on Twitter, saying, "I am confident that Shivarajkumar's self-confidence, courage, and kindness will win him this fight." Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar also sent his well-wishes, acknowledging the actor’s resilience. "I pray for your speedy recovery and divine strength," he tweeted.

Fans across Karnataka have been holding religious events like Urulu Seva and Pooja at temples, praying for the actor's swift recovery. Meanwhile, excitement continues to grow around his upcoming film projects.
