Mangaluru, Dec 27: The diocesan social service centre CODP, through its Child Sponsorship Unit, organized a half-day Christmas get-together, bringing festive cheer to children and parents.
The event witnessed the participation of 160 students and 70 parents. The programme began with a prayer song, setting a solemn and joyful tone for the day. Breakfast was provided to all attendees.
Fr Vincent D Souza, director of CODP, delivered an inspiring Christmas message, emphasizing the spirit of love and sharing. Students added to the festive atmosphere by singing Christmas carols.
Games were organized for the children, and prizes were awarded to the winners, creating a lively and enthusiastic environment. The programme was compered by coordinator Dorice Linet, while assistant coordinator Priya Lobo proposed the vote of thanks.
As a gesture of goodwill, Christmas presents were distributed to each child, making the occasion memorable for all participants.
