Udupi, Dec 29: In a commendable act of efficiency and dedication, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Udupi railway station successfully retrieved valuable luggage left behind by a passenger on the Mathsyagandha Express (Train No. 12619).
Sanath Devadiga, who traveled from Thane to Byndoor in the A1 coach, inadvertently left one of his bags behind while deboarding at Byndoor station. Upon realizing the oversight, he promptly reported the incident to the railway helpline number 139.
The RPF team at Udupi acted swiftly, locating the luggage on the train. They contacted Sanath and informed him about the recovery. At 10 am, he visited the RPF office at Udupi station, where he identified and verified the bag's contents, which included gold ornaments and two laptops worth approximately Rs 4 lakh.
Sanath expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the RPF team for their prompt action in ensuring the safe return of his valuable belongings.
