Bantwal, Jan 3: The 'Bye 2024, Welcome 2025' New Year celebration was held on December 31, by Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R) Nirkan unit, immediately after the year-end Mass.
The event was graced by Fr Leo William Lobo, the parish priest; Fr Stany Rodrigues, OCD; Vincent Bennis, the vice president of PPC Nirkan; Melwin D’Souza and Shanthi Veigas, the president and secretary of the Catholic Sabha Nirkan Unit, respectively.
The celebration featured the cutting of the New Year cake, marking the joyous occasion.

The programme highlights included an auction featuring the saree of Velankanni Mai and the New Year cake, etc, a comedy skit, spot games with prizes and distribution of elocution competition prizes.
Austin Lobo, the IPP of Catholic Sabha Nirkan unit, compered the programme.
