Mangaluru, Jan 3: Lourdes Central School proudly unveiled its much-anticipated customized wall calendar, a remarkable initiative envisioned by the dynamic principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira. The event was held during the morning assembly on January 2.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by the honorable manager of the school Dr John Baptist Saldanha. The event was graced by the presence of principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira, the vice principals Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Thomas and Fr Arul Joseph.

The programme began with a prayer song, beautifully sung by the teachers' choir. This was followed by the intentions, which were led by Gowri Ravi. Lisa Peres then shared the thought for the day, and the significance of the occasion was explained by Noileen Pais.

The highlight of the programme was the distribution of the calendars to student representatives by the manager. As part of the unveiling, 12 student representatives from each class were invited to receive the calendars, symbolizing the 12 months of the year. Each student represented a month, showcasing the school’s vision of nurturing its students to shine throughout the year.

In his presidential address, Dr John Baptist Saldanha offered valuable advice on improving study habits and taking better care of one’s health. He encouraged the students to prioritize their well-being and academic growth, motivating them to strive for excellence in both areas.

The birthday celebrants were warmly wished, and prayers were offered by Lavina Serrao. The assembly concluded with the rendition of the school anthem.
