Udupi, Jan 6: A tragic accident occurred at around 11:30 pm on January 4 at Rampura in Shivapura village near Hebri, where a car collided with a bike, claiming the life of Rahul (25), a resident of Shivapura Moorsalu and the rider of the bike.
Arun, the driver of the Swift car, was reportedly driving at high speed and in a negligent manner on the right side of the road, leading to the collision. Rahul, who was thrown off his bike, suffered severe injuries.
Suresha rushed Rahul to Hebri Hospital for initial treatment, and he was later shifted to Manipal Hospital for advanced care. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Rahul, an RSS Pramukh, was returning home after attending a drama at Mullugudde School on the night of the incident.
