New Delhi, Jan 8: Dr V Narayanan is set to take over as ISRO chairman, succeeding S Somanath, at a time when India’s space sector is undergoing transformative reforms.

With extensive experience in rocket propulsion, Dr Narayanan brings a wealth of expertise to ISRO, overseeing major projects like the Gaganyaan human spaceflight, Chandrayaan-4, and the development of India's own space station.

His focus will be on fostering collaborations with the private sector and advancing India’s space economy to reach a 10% global share.
