Colaba residents oppose proposed Marina near Gateway of India

Daijiworld Media Network- Mumbai

Mumbai, Jan 9: Colaba residents are united in their opposition to the proposed transport marina near the Gateway of India, raising concerns about increased traffic congestion, loss of scenic views, and the area's susceptibility to monsoon-related challenges.

Citizens' groups have urged the Maharashtra Maritime Board to reconsider alternative locations such as Bhaucha Dhakka, Ferry Wharf, or Princess Dock.

Emphasizing the preservation of the area’s heritage and tourism potential, residents are advocating for a more suitable site that aligns with the region’s existing infrastructure and safety needs.
