Mangaluru, Jan 11: Uneven cable chambers and sunken manholes on concrete roads across Mangaluru are posing serious risks to motorists.

Many roads in the city feature manholes and cable chambers that are not aligned with the road surface, creating hazards for vehicles.

Several manhole covers have sunk below the road level, resembling potholes, while sharp-edged steel cable chambers remain unevenly placed.

Areas such as Bunts Hostel, Woodland junction, Maryhill, PVS, and other locations are notable trouble spots. These hidden dangers particularly threaten two-wheeler riders and risk causing vehicle damage or accidents, especially when trailing behind buses or larger vehicles.
