Los Angeles, Jan 12: English actor Tom Holland’s father, Dominic Holland, has expressed confidence in his son’s relationship with actress Zendaya, believing their love will endure the challenges of fame and public scrutiny.
In a Patreon post, Dominic, 57, shared his thoughts on Tom and Zendaya’s romance, calling their relationship one that can “stand the test of time,” reports People magazine.
"I do fret that their combined stardom will amplify their spotlight and the commensurate demands on them, and yet they continually confound me by handling everything with aplomb," Dominic wrote.
Acknowledging the difficulties famous couples often face, he remarked that show business is "a messy place for relationships," with many high-profile romances ending publicly. However, he cited his own marriage to Nikki Holland as a model for his son and Zendaya to emulate.
"With Nikki helming this family and my 'wisdom' on tap... I am completely confident they will make a successful union," Dominic shared.
The Spider-Man stars, both 28, have been romantically linked since 2021, after being spotted kissing in a car, following years of insisting they were just friends. Their on-screen chemistry as Peter Parker and MJ blossomed into an off-screen romance, culminating in their recent engagement.
Zendaya fuelled engagement speculation earlier this month when she appeared at the 2025 Golden Globes wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. A family source later confirmed the engagement to People, adding that the couple is thrilled to take the next step in their relationship.
"He's always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one," an insider shared, highlighting the deep bond they share.
As Tom and Zendaya prepare for their future together, Dominic Holland’s faith in their union stands as a touching testament to their love and resilience amidst the challenges of stardom.
