Gurugram, Jan 13: Vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar emphasised the power of will and innovation as keys to youth success, while reflecting on India's remarkable progress over the last decade. Speaking at the fourth convocation ceremony of masters’ union, a management institute in Gurugram Cyber Park, Dhankhar highlighted the evolving aspirations of a nation on the rise.

“India has transformed in ways we could never have imagined. Today, our country stands as an example for the world, growing faster and more steadily than any other nation in the last ten years. Expectations are now at an all-time high, and we must think out of the box to meet them,” he said.

Dhankhar praised the students, affirming their role in shaping India’s economic and industrial future. “You are the ones who will democratise our country’s economic, commercial, and business landscape. Success today doesn’t require lineage, family name, or capital—it only requires an idea. And ideas belong to no one exclusively,” he added.

Acknowledging India’s position as the fifth-largest global economy, the vice president called for sustained efforts to make India a developed nation by 2047. “The challenge is significant.

Income levels must increase eightfold for India to truly achieve this milestone. You are the engine of this development,” he remarked, urging the youth to take ownership of the country’s progress.

He lauded India's five-thousand-year-old civilisation and its enduring legacy, urging the youth to draw inspiration from traditions while contributing to modern advancements.

“Our country has unparalleled human resources and a robust bureaucracy capable of driving any change. By believing in yourselves and honouring your heritage, you can help India maintain its global leadership,” Dhankhar concluded.

The vice president’s address served as both a call to action and a celebration of the youth’s potential to steer India into an era of unprecedented development.
