Mangaluru, Jan 13: A grand fruit and flower exhibition will be hosted at Kadri Park from January 23 to 26 under the joint auspices of the Zilla Panchayat, district administration, horticulture department, and the Kadri Park Development Committee.
The exhibition will feature approximately 20,000 flowers of 30 varieties, including Salvia, Zinnia, Dianthus, Chrysanthemum, Aster, Vinca Rosea, Cockscomb, Dahlia, Petunia, and Torenia, grown in pots.
Visitors will be treated to various flower and millet-based art forms, photoframes, and flower-decorated selfie zones designed to captivate children. Additionally, floral and vegetable art installations of eminent local personalities will be showcased.
The event will also highlight a range of decorative flowers, Bonsai displays, and Ikebana arrangements. Unique fruits, vegetables, farm crops, and horticultural crafts grown by farmers and local residents, including Bonsai and Anthurium plants, will also be on display.
Stalls selling seeds, fertilizers, horticulture-related machinery, and products from nurseries and organic vendors will be part of the exhibition. Laborers have been preparing for this event for months, sowing a variety of flowers that will be the main attraction starting January 23.
