Christmas Tree celebration held by Kanara Catholic Association in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 13: The Kanara Catholic Association (KCA) organized its Christmas tree celebration on January 12 at Good Shepherd Church, Hauz Khas. The event began with a Holy Eucharistic celebration led by Fr Praveen D’Costa, with Fr Anil Almeida, Fr Sunil Crasta, and Fr Ravi Sagar concelebrating. Fr Sunil Crasta, the spiritual director, extended a warm welcome to the gathering, and Fr Anil Almeida delivered a meaningful homily.

KCA president Vincent Menezes delivered the keynote address. Santa Claus made a delightful entry, accompanied by children, and distributed gifts to them. Jesuit brothers from Vidyajyoti organized engaging games for children, youth, and KCA couples, adding joy to the event. Fr Ravi Sagar and Fr Anil Walder shared Christmas messages with the gathering.

Geona Frank performed a captivating dance, and winners of various games were felicitated by Sr Regina and Sr Severine. Vincent Menezes expressed gratitude to the event sponsors and all attendees. Kuswar, prepared and sponsored by Jacintha Crasta, was distributed to everyone, adding a festive touch to the occasion.

The celebration concluded with a traditional Mangalorean meal served to approximately 120 attendees, followed by nonstop baila dancing, which brought the joyous event to a close.
