Moodbidri, Jan 15: The ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, a once-in-a-century event, has brought immense pride to Karnataka as Leksa Lighting Technologies Pvt Ltd, a renowned firm from Moodbidri, has been entrusted with the lighting decoration of the main entrances to the sacred grounds.

Unlike the Kumbh Mela held every 12 years, this Maha Kumbh Mela is a rare and divine event occurring after 144 years. It was inaugurated on the auspicious day of Pushya Purnima, January 13, making it a historic occasion.

Leksa Lighting Technologies Pvt Ltd, known nationwide for its expertise in illumination, has been given the honour of decorating the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati gateways—key entrances to the sacred venue. This opportunity showcases the company’s craftsmanship and highlights the contributions of Karnataka to this grand spiritual gathering.

The Moodbidri-based company has previously earned accolades for its lighting projects at prominent sites such as Ayodhya, Belagavi's Suvarna Vidhan Soudha, Birla Mandir, and Dharampur’s Jain Temple. With its innovative permanent lighting installations, Leksa Lighting Technologies Pvt Ltd has consistently garnered recognition, and this latest achievement adds to its legacy.

This contribution to the Maha Kumbh Mela is a matter of great pride for the people of Dakshina Kannada, as Leksa Lighting Technologies Pvt Ltd continues to shine on the national stage.
