Mangaluru, Jan 16: The Multi-Sports Complex, located opposite the Urwa Market in Mangaluru, is poised to become a game-changer for the region’s sports and fitness enthusiasts. This modern facility, designed under the Smart City project at a cost of Rs 35 crore, is tailored to accommodate a variety of sports, with special emphasis on badminton and kabaddi.

The complex is nearing completion and is expected to open for use within two months, with an official inauguration to follow soon. Its development underscores a significant effort to bolster Mangaluru's sports culture by providing athletes with a professional and world-class environment.







The ground floor of the complex features six kabaddi courts and three badminton courts. Both are equipped with premium wooden flooring to meet professional standards. Additionally, the facility includes a seating gallery with a capacity of 350, ensuring that spectators can comfortably enjoy sports events. This feature makes the complex an ideal venue for hosting state-level tournaments in the future.

Other amenities in the complex include locker rooms and a dining area, ensuring convenience and comfort for players and visitors alike. Furthermore, the third floor boasts an expansive play area covered with a roof, enabling a range of indoor sports and activities regardless of weather conditions.

With its state-of-the-art design and top-notch facilities, the Multi-Sports Complex is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the sporting future of Mangaluru, providing local athletes with an environment conducive to honing their skills and achieving excellence.
