Bahrain, Jan 17: A life-altering twist of fate has struck Manu Mohanan, a 36-year-old ambulance nurse from Kerala, who has just bagged an eye-watering Rs 71 crore (30 million Bahraini Dinar) in the Big Ticket lottery.

Raised by his tireless single mother after his father abandoned them, Manu's early years were marked by hardship. His mother worked relentlessly, even hauling bricks and stones, to ensure he received a good education. But financial struggles followed Manu into adulthood, especially after moving to Bahrain in search of better prospects.
