Udupi, Jan 18: Temporary traffic diversion for Senior Olympics Games cycling event in the district on January 19.

The Udupi district police department has requested the district administration to implement temporary traffic diversions on January 19 for the State-level Senior Olympics Games cycling competition. The diversions will be in effect from 6 AM to 3 PM, as per the official notification.

The state-level cycling competition will commence from the Kolalagiri Water Tank in Brahmavar taluk, proceed through Perdoor, and end near Shantivan Junction via Kukkehalli Junction. The total stretch of the event is approximately 10 kilometers. During the event, all vehicular movement on this route will be strictly restricted.

The vehicles traveling from Perdoor towards NH-66 via Havanje-Kolalgiri-Ammunje-Ullur route will have to take an alternative route through Hiriyadka-Manipal to reach Udupi.

The vehicles traveling from Petri to Perdoor must take the Karje-Alangaru route to reach Perdoor.

The vehicles traveling from Petri to Kukkehalli have been completely restricted.

Vehicular movement from NH-66 via Uppoor-Uggelabettu-Nandini-K M F-Kolalagiri route will be prohibited and traffic from NH-66 via KG Road, Ammunje, Kolalagiri, Havanje, and Kukkehalli will be completely restricted.

The public is requested to cooperate with the temporary changes to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
