Five chain snatchers fleeing Brahmavar nabbed in Ankola

Karwar, Jan 18: Ankola police apprehended five individuals from Solapur, Maharashtra, who were fleeing after committing a chain-snatching incident near Brahmavar in Udupi district.

Based on information relayed to the Uttara Kannada police control room by Brahmavar police, Ankola police station inspector Chandrashekhar Mathapati, PSI Uddappa Dhareppanavar, ASI Lalita Rajput, and other personnel set up a checkpoint at Baleguli.

The culprits, traveling in a Maharashtra-registered Swift car, were intercepted by the Ankola police. The suspects were handed over to Brahmavar police for further investigation.
