Moodbidri: Ram Shetty Confident About Success of his Movie, 'Bangarda Kural'

Moodbidri, Jan 3: “The concept of a movie which revolves around the day-to-day lives of Tuluvas had been in my mind since long. Now I have decided to make a Tulu movie, ‘Bangarda Kural’, on the basis of this story. This movie has several things which will be appreciated by the Tuluvas and be well-received by cine lovers. With the blessings of the people of coastal Karnataka, I am sure that my film will do well at the box office and complete 100-day run,” said Ram Shetty, director of the new Tulu movie, ‘Bangarda Kural’.
Shetty, who has worked as stunt director for over 600 films made in several languages including Hindi, has ventured into Tulu movie making after a gap of nearly three decades. Shetty, who is a famous personality in Bollywood, said he is making this film out of his love for his mother tongue. He addressed a press conference here on Monday January 2.
Pachi Hegde, who has acted in about 40 movies including some in Bhojpuri, has been cast in this film opposite Ram Shetty’s son, Anand. After the muhurat was shot at Goddess Ambika Annapoorneshwari Temple in Sunkadakatte, shooting for the film is progressing in various locations including Moodbidri.
Former state minister, Amarnath Shetty, in whose house some scenes were shot, was happy at the way the team worked as a unit. He said he has no doubt that this film will run for 100 days.
Pachi Hegde, who speaks Tulu fluently, said that she had won the hearts of audiences through Bhojpuri films, and that her acting skills have been hailed by the media. She expressed confidence that she will be able to get abundant love and affection from Tulu audience.
Shivadhwaj, who recently gained popularity by acting as hero in Tulu and Kodava movies, Namrata Hegde, Suresh Mangalore, Kishori Ballal, Harish Vasu Shetty, Vijay Kumar Shetty Mumbai, Ravikumar Suratkal, Dinesh Attavar, Tamma Lakshmana, and many others are in the cast of this movie.
