New Delhi, Jan 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 118th episode of his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, on Jan 19 at 11 am This marks the first edition of the popular broadcast in 2025.
Traditionally held on the last Sunday of the month, this episode has been preponed to accommodate Republic Day celebrations on January 26. In his post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Tune in tomorrow at 11 am for the first Mann Ki Baat of 2025! Looking forward to highlighting exemplary collective efforts from across India which showcase societal strength.”
Launched in October 2014, Mann Ki Baat serves as a platform for the Prime Minister to engage directly with citizens on key national issues such as cleanliness, water conservation, women empowerment, and fitness. The programme has become a cultural cornerstone, drawing widespread participation and viewership.
In the last episode of 2024, PM Modi emphasized the legacy of the Indian Constitution as it approaches its 75th anniversary of implementation on January 26. He urged citizens to visit a special website, constitution75.com, to explore and engage with the Constitution in multiple languages.
The programme’s impact inspired Ashwin Fernandes, executive director of QS World University Rankings, to write MODIALOGUE, a book celebrating the influence of Mann Ki Baat. Fernandes described the show as a powerful example of heart-to-heart communication, akin to global leaders like J F Kennedy and Lee Kuan Yew.
As Mann Ki Baat continues to bring the nation together, this episode is expected to shed light on inspiring collective efforts and individual achievements that strengthen India’s social fabric.
