Udupi Journalists’ Association, Daijiworld’s Hariprasad Nandalike honoured at State awards ceremony

Tumakuru, Jan 19: The Udupi District Working Journalists' Association was recognised for its exemplary achievements at the 39th State-Level Journalists' Conference held in Tumakuru on Sunday, January 19.

The event, organised by the Karnataka Working Journalists' Association in collaboration with the Tumakuru District Unit, saw the association receive a prestigious award during the valedictory ceremony.

Rajesh Shetty Alevoor, president of the Udupi District Working Journalists' Association, and general secretary Nazhir Polya were present to accept the honour.

In the same event, Daijiworld’s reporter Hariprasad Nandalike was presented with the distinguished R L Vasudevarao Award for his exceptional contributions to forest reporting.

Hariprasad, a stringer with Daijiworld, was recognised for his deep commitment to impactful and insightful journalism in the field of environmental reporting.

The awards were presented by K V Prabhakar, media advisor to the chief minister; Shubha Kalyan, Deputy Commissioner of Tumakuru district; Shivananda Tagaduru, president of the Karnataka State Working Journalists' Association; Lokesh, State general secretary; Ajjamada Ramesh Kuttappa, vice-president; and other distinguished guests.
