Udupi: Police meeting with bank officials to address increasing robbery cases

Udupi, Jan 20: In response to the rising number of bank robberies, a meeting was held under the leadership of Udupi's Superintendent of Police (SP), Arun, with jewellery and bank officials to discuss safety measures.

During the meeting, the SP emphasized the need to implement essential security protocols in both jewellery stores and banks. This includes installing CCTV systems, hiring security personnel, and ensuring vigilance to prevent incidents. He also stressed the importance of prioritizing retired military personnel when recruiting security staff.

The authorities are taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and security of these establishments amid increasing concerns.
