Mangaluru, Jan 20: The Bethany Educational Society (BES), Mangalore Central Delegation, orchestrated an enlightening BES Convention 2025 on January 18 at St Theresa’s School, Bendur. With the presence of Sr Rose Celine BS, superior general and president of BES, the convention reverberated with the theme, "Transformative Education for Fullness of Life Towards Human Fraternity."

The convention brought together a dynamic community of educators from St Theresa’s School, St Sebastian’s School and St Joseph’s Primary and High School, fostering a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose within the BES fraternity. The event began with a grand welcome as the distinguished guests were accorded a ceremonial guard of honour led by the school band, showcasing the vibrant spirit and discipline of the host school.

The inaugural ceremony, beginning promptly in the morning, set a reverent tone. Sr Shaila, delegation superior of the Central Delegation, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Sr Rose Celine BS, the chief guest, delivered a visionary keynote address, underscoring the critical role of education in uniting humanity and fostering holistic growth.

The day unfolded with a series of thought-provoking sessions. Sr Mariette BS, member of the Council of Management, BES, eloquently explored the visionary legacy of the society's founder, emphasizing transformative education as a catalyst for societal change. She further inspired participants by delving into innovative teaching methodologies rooted in BES’s core values. Nishitha Soans, a passionate educator from St Theresa’s School, presented actionable strategies for nurturing sustainability and caring for the planet. Jasmine Moreira, a distinguished teacher from St Theresa’s School, highlighted the urgency of fostering peace and mutual respect amidst societal diversity. Sr Shanthi Priya BS, vice president of BES, delivered a compelling discourse on justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity as the bedrock of education and human progress.

The convention concluded with a profound message from Sr Sandhya BS, secretary of BES. Her concluding remarks encapsulated the day’s essence, calling upon all present to embody and advocate for the transformative ideals explored.
