Bengaluru, Jan 21: Taking serious note of the increasing instances of cow slaughter and violence in the state, the Karnataka government has ordered an investigation into the matter.
Following the incident in Chamarajpet where a cow was butchered, a similar case of cow slaughter was reported from Honnavar. These incidents have sparked widespread criticism and protests across the state.
Speaking to the media, authorities emphasized the need to address the rising cases of cow slaughter and violence. "I have instructed the police to take these incidents seriously and implement strict measures," state home minister Dr G Parameshwara stated.
"Identifying individuals with such intentions is the first step. We are also investigating whether there is any external provocation behind these acts, if they are committed individually, or if there are any organized groups involved," he added.
