Udupi, Jan 22: The Udupi town police have successfully apprehended three accused involved in a fraud case wherein they promised a higher education seat abroad to a doctor. The police have also recovered assets valued at Rs 9,56,000, including cash and other items.

A complaint was filed by Santosh E at the Udupi town police station, reporting that he had been defrauded in a scheme related to higher education opportunities abroad. According to the complaint, the victim, a general medicine graduate, intended to pursue an MPH degree in the UK. While in Dubai, he met Aftab, who promised to secure an MPH seat for Rs 18 lac.
