Mangaluru, Jan 24: National Girl Child Day 2025 was celebrated at Lourdes Central School Ground during the morning assembly on January 24. It is a day to pause and reflect on the beauty, strength and potential of every girl child. It is a day to remember the invaluable contribution girls make to our families, communities and the world. The whole assembly was conducted exclusively by the boys as a tribute to the girlhood. The assembly as usual had its main components along with the significance of the Day which highlighted the importance of having a girl child and honoring her.

The scholarships and benefits available to a girl child was highlighted here.

The boys sang a song and also presented a heart touching skit written by the boys themselves which show the helplessness of men who are unable to handle life without the presence of the women. The skit raised an awareness about the value of girls and gave a food for thought about our daily lives in their absence.

The principal Fr Johnson Sequeria in his message appreciated and praised every girl child of Lourdes Central School and the lady staff members for their contribution towards the school and the society. He also praised the boys of Class 8B who presented the assembly so wonderfully conveying the message that every girl child comes to the Earth with a blessing.
