Udupi: Head constable Shivananda chosen for President’s meritorious service medal

Udupi, Jan 25: Shivananda B, a head constable at the Udupi district police office, has been selected for the esteemed President’s Meritorious Service Medal, which was announced during the Republic Day celebrations in recognition of his exceptional service.

Shivananda joined the police department in 2005 and has served in the crime division and election cell at the district police office since 2009. In 2019, he received the Chief Minister’s Medal for his outstanding contributions to the department.

Promoted to the rank of head constable seven years ago, Shivananda has represented the Karnataka State Police at national police duty meets twice, further highlighting his dedication and commitment to the force.
