Mangaluru, Jan 26: St Agnes Kindergarten School (CBSE) celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm, highlighting the spirit of unity, patriotism, and the essence of democracy. The campus was adorned with vibrant tricolours as students, teachers, and parents gathered to honour India’s Constitution and democratic values.
The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer song by the school choir, creating a serene atmosphere. Teacher Gulobi welcomed everyone with a powerful speech on the importance of Republic Day and the role of education in shaping responsible citizens. Sr Letitia, the KG co-ordinator, extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, Deepa Sequeira, with a beautiful floral tribute.
The Tiny Tots then mesmerised the audience with a lively welcome dance, showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity through their colourful costumes and graceful movements. A patriotic dance performance followed, filling the air with pride and love for the nation. The students’ drill display was a testament to their discipline, teamwork, and commitment, with synchronised movements and vibrant props adding to the energy of the celebration.
The little ones also performed a skit titled ‘The birth of the Republic,’ which vividly portrayed India’s freedom struggle and the creation of the Constitution, making it accessible and engaging for young minds. A medley of patriotic songs sung by the students evoked a deep sense of pride and unity. Teacher Shanthi led the students in taking a pledge, reminding them of their duties towards the country.
Deepa Sequeira, the chief guest, shared an inspiring speech, emphasising the core values of the Constitution and urging the children to contribute to the nation’s progress with integrity and dedication.
The event was compered by the KG students, and teacher Josna concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, parents, teachers, and students for their role in making the celebration a success. The 76th Republic Day celebration at St Agnes Kindergarten was a memorable event that fostered a strong sense of patriotism, unity, and responsibility among all who attended.
