Mangaluru: Republic Day celebration held at Lourdes Central School, Bejai

Mangaluru, Jan 26: ‘The Indian Constitution is unique. It has given every citizen an opportunity to live a respectful life. It also defines our rights and duties, serving as an important organ of our country. It upholds the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. We should respect our Constitution,’ said Fr Norman Mathias, assistant parish priest of Bejai Church and chief guest of the 76th Republic Day celebrations at Lourdes Central School.

Fr Johnson L Sequeira, the principal, along with vice principals Belita Mascarenhas and Anitha Thomas, graced the occasion. The school choir’s melodious patriotic song stirred the spirit of patriotism, while the commendable performances by the students added charm to the celebration.

Pranamya Kotian welcomed the gathering. Daksha Nayak and Kaneesha shared the significance of the day. Ridhi Shetty proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Thamanna Prabhu and Aryan with great finesse.

Pamela Miranda coordinated the event, which was well-organised by Lavina Serrao. Teachers Seema Lobo, Preema D'Souza, Sunita K, Roshan Cordeiro, and Roshan Sequeira extended their cooperation.

The Republic Day celebration at Lourdes Central School was a memorable event, instilling a sense of pride and patriotism among all those present.
