New Delhi, Jan 27: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday met with special invitees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme at Akashvani Bhawan, New Delhi. These distinguished individuals, celebrated during the 76th Republic Day Parade, were recognized for their outstanding contributions to society in fields such as education, environment, social welfare, and innovation.

Addressing the gathering, Vaishnaw expressed his admiration for their efforts and highlighted the importance of PM Modi’s initiative in bringing such inspiring stories to light. “The Prime Minister is performing a yagna by sharing the positive contributions of these individuals with the nation through Mann Ki Baat. I am very happy to meet them and extend my gratitude to them for their exceptional work,” he said.

Among the guests was Sulochana Kumawat from Rajasthan, who founded an NGO in Sikar in 2011 to train girls from slums in tailoring, transforming their lives through skill development. Mukta, an elderly woman from Gujarat, expressed her joy and gratitude for being acknowledged by the Prime Minister for her contributions to society.

Shubham Badhani from Uttarakhand shared his journey of running the unique ‘Ghoda Library,’ a mobile library initiative that reaches remote villages in Nainital, bringing books to children and women in areas inaccessible by road. Haryana’s Subhash Kamboj, a beekeeper with over 28 years of experience, shared his success story of expanding his small beekeeping venture into a large-scale training initiative that benefits farmers across the country.

Each of these individuals has left a profound impact on their communities, embodying the spirit of innovation and service. The event celebrated their achievements, serving as an inspiration for others to contribute to nation-building.
