Udupi: Bomb threat at private school sparks panic

Udupi, Jan 27: A bomb threat received by a private school in Udupi caused alarm among students, parents, and staff.

The police were immediately alerted, and teams arrived at the school to investigate the matter. Security checks and thorough inspections took place to ensure the safety of everyone present.

According to Vincent D’Costa, principal of Sharada Residential School, the email stated, "Evacuate the minority students immediately. On this holy day, your school will be victims of the twin pipe IED blast. This is to commemorate the Afzal Guru unfair hanging and our own Anna University Prof Chithrakala Gopalan incident. We want to see heaven with this incident being our very last one. We shall be one such activating the devices today."

Speaking to the media, Principal Vincent D’Costa said, “After we got to know about the email, we immediately informed the concerned authority, and security has been tightened. We have students from various parts of the nation, so we are always cautious. There is no need to fear, and we are also standing strong along with the police security.”

The incident led to a gathering of concerned parents and guardians at the school premises, anxiously awaiting updates on the situation.

    Such threat calls are increasing nowadays .Some student who doesnt want to go to school must be doing this.One shouldnt get panic .But just keep calm and investigate who can be the cause of it.Holyday?Last day of school?first investigate from where the mail came.Lazy bugs are writing this.
