Final year journalism students of St Agnes College organize session on ‘Fake News’

Mangaluru, Jan 29: The final-year students of St Agnes College of the department of journalism and mass communication organized an informative session titled ‘Understanding Fake News: Spotting the Truth Online’ for class 7 students of St Agnes CBSE School.

The session aimed to raise awareness among young learners about fake news, its societal impact and practical methods for fact-checking.

Through interactive activities, students were trained to recognize and combat misinformation in the digital era.

A team of resourceful students Rajwa Quasim, Shreya Ravi NK, Anusha BS, Riya Roshan, Sharal, Eryl, Emil, and Samrudh facilitated the session, ensuring an engaging and meaningful experience for the participants. Over 100 students actively attended the session.
