Self Defence Training for Women Cops


New Delhi, Jan 7 (IANS): The Delhi Police has imparted training to 460 women commandos while 6,730 girls were given training in self defence, the police said Friday.

Keeping in view the safety of women, women-centric police stations have been opened in north and south Delhi and five women DCP and Additional DCPs have been working with the Delhi Police force.

Women's help desks have been established in every police station. "We are encouraging woman cops to drive bikes," said police chief B.K. Gupta Friday.
