Moodbidri: Enchanting Jugalbandi by Maestros on Day 3 of 'Alva's Virasat'

Moodbidri, Jan 8: The whole of Shobhavana at Mijar here, the exclusive platform for cultural fest 'Alva’s Virasat' was transformed into a musical terrain with mesmerizing Jugalbandi from Grammy award recipient Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Surmani Pravin Godkhindi on day 3 of the event on Saturday January 7.

The Apoorva Jugalbandi also witnessed Suben Chatterjii playing tabla, Sumith Ramachandran playing electric guitar, Prayumna on piano and Sambith Chatterjii on jazz drums.

The main attraction of the day was the when he Mohan Veena enthralled the crowd with a composition from Sleepless Night, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt’s recently released album with Oscar winning musician Matt Malley.

The unique amalgamation of classical and western musical instruments made the concert impressive and memorable.

The third day’s programme was inaugurated jointly by Canara Bank former general manager T D Pai, Karnataka Bank general manager M V Chandrasekhat Karanth, Karnatak Bank deputy general manager V N Manohar and Alva’s Education foundation chairman Mohan Alva.
