Mangaluru: Srinivas University organises Annual Sports Meet -2025

Mangaluru, Feb 1: "A healthy mind resides in a healthy body, so keep your mind fresh by participating in sports," said Justice Mallikarjuna Swamy H.S., honourable Justice of the 1st Additional District & Sessions Judge, DK, and principal district & sessions judge in-charge, Mangaluru, DK.

He spoke at the inauguration of the annual sports event held under the auspices of Srinivas University and Srinivas Group of Colleges at Mangala Stadium, Mangaluru on February 1.

Addressing the students, he told students to dream big, achieve big and win big in life. "Talent is a game but team work wins the championship," he said.

In his presidential address, Dr. C.A. A. Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shamrao Foundation, advised students to develop a sportsman spirit, which involves loving and supporting each other. "Think independently in life, so you can achieve your goals," he said.

Srinivas University honourable pro chancellor and A Shamrao Foundation vice-president, Dr A Srinivas Rao, vice- chancellor of Srinivas University Dr K Satyanarayana Reddy, Srinivas University registrar Dr Anil Kumar, evaluation registrar Dr Srinivasa Mayya D, development registrar Dr Ajay Kumar, physical director Supriya Adiga, deans of Srinivas University and principals of Srinivas Group of Colleges were present.

The programme was started by lighting a lamp. Dr A R Shabaraya, principal, Srinivas College of Pharmacy welcomed the gathering. Dr Venkatesh Amin, dean, Institute of Management & Commerce proposed the vote of thanks. Prof Rohan Fernandes and Prof Shwetha Pai compered the programme.
