Ajman, Jan 8: In yet another initiative to support sports, culture and the traditions of UAE Thumbay Group headed by Thumbay Moideen along with director of healthcare division Akbar Moideen ceremoniously launched its team Thumbay Kasargod Leopards (TKL), which will play in the forth coming Kerala Premier League (KPL) and will be an integral part of the Tumbay Group Cricket Academy soon.
The launching ceremony of the team was held at the Body and Soul Health Club & Spa in Ajman.
TKL is affiliated to International Cricket Council, Abu Dhabi Cricket Council, Dubai Cricket Council, Sharjah Cricket Council and Ajman Cricket Council.
TKL will play in upcoming Kerala Premier League Dubai 2012 to be held in Dubai under the auspices of Dubai Cricket Council and is touted to be one of the biggest, richest and high profile cricketing league in Asian Sporting events calendar.
It is also believed that this event will create a landmark in the cricketing history of UAE and the entire Middle East region.
After an elaborate hunt to recruit talented cricketing professionals to represent KPL team, Thumbay Group was able to select cricketing stalwarts who have carved a niche for themselves with their all round abilities and electrifying performances in International, National, First Class and regional cricket.
TKL will be aptly managed by Board members – patron Thumbay Moideen, Chairman Akbar Moideen, vice chairman Vignesh Unadkat and team manager Farwaz.
The extremely talented KPL team will be lead by captain and coach Mohammad Azimooddin Karajagi, who is an ICC Level 1 Coach.
The rest of the team will be represented by vice captain Santhamoorthy Sengeni, Rohan

TKL will be the franchise providing a platform for budding youngsters of universities, schools, local clubs and first class cricketers to be a part of international cricketing circuit and thus contributing to Thumbay Group‘s social corporate responsibility.
With the initiation of ‘TKL’, Thumbay Group in larger prospective has sent a strong signal across the globe regarding its intention of providing quality cricket, facilities and infrastructure in the near future.
